This piece (and its sister piece 'Wildflowers II') is inspired by the fleeting beauty of nature we find all around us. When it comes to wildflowers, they may be in full bloom only for a brief moment, one it's up to us to appreciate while it's there. My love of nature is not only because of its beauty but how it offers us a constant reminder that sometimes the most beautiful things in life are fleeting. This reminder gives us the freedom to slow down in life, and enjoy the blessings we have right here, right now.
